is the price really fixed?

once we scope your project we give you one fixed number for that scope. it doesn't move unless you change what you're asking for, and if you do, we tell you the new number before we touch it. retainers are a flat monthly rate.

yes, and the mechanics are simple. after one call we write a scope: what's being built, what isn't, and the date it lands. against that scope we quote one number, and that number is what appears on the invoice. we don't bill by the hour, so there's no meter running and no reason for the number to drift. scoping and the written plan are free; you're only invoiced once you've agreed the scope and the number in writing.

what happens when the scope changes

it happens, and it's fine. you see the preview and want a second user role, or a client asks for an export you hadn't thought of. we tell you what that addition costs before we touch it, and you decide whether it goes in now, later, or never. what we don't do is absorb it and send a bigger invoice at the end.

the other direction works too. if something on the scope turns out to be unnecessary, or a cheaper option would do the job, we say so.

the same rule everywhere

  • builds: one fixed number per agreed scope
  • retainers: a flat monthly rate for an agreed block of hours, with no per-ticket charges
  • pentests: one fixed number after a short scoping call, retest included
  • paid ads: media spend goes to google and meta from your own card; our fee is a flat monthly number, never a percentage of it

for what goes into a monthly number, see what a retainer costs. and the first call really is free: the details are here.
